Gypsy Night celebrated three decades of Amala Band, the ensemble founded and led by bassist and composer Imer Traja Brizani. At Križanke, Romani musical heritage met jazz, classical colour and the scale of a symphonic orchestra in an anniversary programme shaped as Romani symphonic ethno-jazz.
Under conductor Patrik Greblo, Amala was joined by the RTV Slovenia Big Band and the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, together with Alenka Godec, Oto Pestner, Lana Trotovšek, Bernardo Brizani, Bajsa Arifovska, Ilija Ampevski and Čerim Haliti. The many voices and instrumental colours turned the evening into both a celebration of one ensemble and a vivid portrait of a living musical tradition.
